Sope Creek Park Engagement | JaNae & Walter

Sope Creek Park Nature Trail Engagement

JaNae and Walter met in high school; in their senior year Walter signed her yearbook with his phone number and a request that she call him sometime. Although the call was not made until the end of a long summer for Walter, he was still patiently waiting and yes, they have been together since. Their high school was where it all begun so we stopped by for a minute to make certain it was part of their story. Late last fall we went to Sope Creek Park along the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area for their engagement session, most of the images were taken around the ruins of a paper mill from the 19th century.  The paper mill, built in 1855, destroyed by Union armies during the Civil War and rebuilt several years later, operated until 1902. Here are some of my favorites from their Sope Creek nature engagement photo session.Couple on the Chattahoochee River at the Sope Creek Park along the Chattahoochee River National Recreation AreaB&W portrait of couple at Sope Creek ParkEngagement portraits on the paper mill ruins at Sope CreekAfrican American male photographed on the ruins of the paper mill at Sope CreekCouple on the ruins of the Paper Mill at Sope CreekPictures at Sope Creek Park paper mill ruinsChattahoochee River National Recreation Area Engagement SessionCouple at their alma mater Westlake High School where they first metCouple wanted their high school as part of their engagement pictures
