For our beautiful couple, the road to the wedding aisle spanned a large part of DC and the US east coast. When they met in New York six years ago, they knew that they had to see more of each other. He left the party for his home in Maryland and she returned to Atlanta, but they courted over the miles, making a point to see each other at least once a month. He surprised her with a romantic proposal on Christmas Day. He declared his love in front of their family and friends, got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. Overwhelmed by the emotion of the moment, but she recovered enough to say “Yes”.
Washington DC National Mall engagement
The couple’s engagement portrait session took place on the National Mall in Washington DC. The majestic skyline and the Washington Monument were the perfect complement to the depth of their love. It was a very cold and windy day, but images captured the intense warmth of their relationship. They will celebrate their nuptials this spring in Atlanta.
I met Fisola a few years ago when I photographed her sister’s wedding. Thanks for another opportunity to capture another chapter in your family’s history.
