Woodruff Park Engagement Session | Brittany and Nicholas met us at downtown Atlanta’s Woodruff Park for their engagement session. The couple wanted an urban feel to their engagement session so hung out in the heart of the city and the historic Fairlie-Poplar District where we captured these beautiful images of the lovely couple. National Mall DC Engagement | Edris & Deron

National Mall DC Engagement | Edris and Deron will exchange wedding vows in Atlanta this summer. The engagement session took place on the National Mall in Washington DC we started at the Lincoln Memorial with the obelisk-shaped Washington Monument as a backdrop. The session ended at the nearby Thomas Jefferson Memorial dedicated to one of the most important of the American Founding Fathers as the main drafter and writer of the Declaration of Independence, member of the Continental Congress across the Potomac River.? Deron surprised Edris with her engagement ring and her reaction was priceless, only pictures could do this moment justice. I am looking forward to spending time with two of my favorite people on their wedding day, capturing the love they share for each and the celebration with their family and friends. Domonique and James Glenn Hotel Engagement Session

Domonique and James’ engagement session took place at the Glenn Hotel in Atlanta. They met at a friend’s birthday party and started dating five years later. After almost three years of dating, James decided his life would be incomplete without here. So, he hatched a plan to propose and here is the story from her perspective:

It was a typical Friday and James was off so he offered to take me to work. Around noon, the receptionist informed me that I had a visitor in the lobby. I figured it was James coming to take me to lunch, and I was correct. However, there was another man in the lobby standing away from James. This man was dressed up and had the biggest bouquet of flowers in his hands. I was asked to take the young man up because he was here to see my co-worker. Once up to my floor, the guy told me he was actually there for me. I was perplexed…so I looked at the guy (whom I’ve never seen before) and then I looked at James. The guy started singing Point of It All by Anthony Hamilton (one of my favorite songs), and I’m freaked out because I was at work and I didn’t want my co-workers upset because someone was being disruptive (not knowing my boss was in on this). So, he kept singing (beautifully, I might add) and he inserted our name throughout the song. He finished the song and I was in tears because, now, I know that James was behind all this. I was still oblivious to what all this meant. My boss told me I could have the rest of the day off. Below are some of our favorites from their Glenn Hotel engagement session. (more…)

Marietta Square Engagement Session | Lindsay & Brandon

Marietta Square Engagement Session | For their engagement photography session, the US Air Force EOD Specialist and his bride to be attorney met us in Marietta. We had been working on the details for the session for a while and it all came together here with some absolutely beautiful photographs of Lindsay and Brandon. From Glover Park on Marietta Square to the Aviation Wing of Marietta Museum of History this couple was always ready for their close-up because they never stopped. Love at first sight started at a cousins home eight years prior, and then a proposal at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. I will let Lindsay pick it up from here. “I arrived to the airport early so that I could be there when he got off escalator. Brandon took a very long time to get the escalator and we went directly to baggage claim. While standing there, I wondered if his bag had already been removed from the turnstile. As I asked Brandon this question, he placed my hand on his heart. I was shocked by how fast his heart was beating and wondered if he needed assistance. He then dropped to his knee but not before I asked him, “Really??!! Right here . . .” He responded, “YES!” He dropped down and asked me for my hand in marriage. I said yes and then he opened the box. Onlookers expressed shock and applauded. A childhood friend of mine happened to be at the same turnstile; she came over to see who this brave soul was to ask for my hand in marriage in such a public setting. ” Yes it was the man with confidence of a Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Specialist for the US Air Force. He went down one knee and walked away with the girl, his heart did beat faster this time around. We will capture the next act of this story later this spring when we photograph their wedding in Atlanta. The guides at the Aviation Wing at the Marietta Museum of History were very helpful, thanks guys. Atlanta Engagement Photography Session

For their Atlanta engagement session, our couple wanted something a little edgy, sexy and urban, graffiti and old warehouse type of look for their engagement photography session. So we started at the Krog Street tunnel, old industrial site and then of course Little Five Points.

Laronda and Michael had their first date after a college football game three years ago, and became inseparable. Laronda’s version of the story is that Michael relentlessly pursued her, the new girl at work until she gave in. His story is the exact opposite, either way, we are happy they both gave in. A few years later after a secret rendezvous with her parents while visiting Canada, he was ready. So in the presence of her beloved grandmother Michael got to his knee asked for her hand in marriage, and between tears of joy she said yes.

Michael’s other surprise came as she returned home to find their friends and family waiting to join in celebration. She is still shocked that everyone but her knew of the plans. We are delighted they chose us to capture their wedding story and look forward to their spring wedding.
